Forestville, WI-Anyone interested in creating or advancing their career in the fishing industry should mark their calendar for Jan. 5th-7th, the dates the National Professional Anglers Association (NPAA) will hold its 2018 Annual Conference at Chula Vista Water Park and Resort in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin.
“Since 2009, the NPAA Annual Conference has been a ‘can’t-miss it’ event for those interested in the fishing industry,” says NPAA Executive Director Pat Neu. “The 2018 theme is ‘The Journey to Professional,’ and we’re looking forward to building on last year’s extremely successful conference, which blew away our attendance record with 265 registered attendees.”
Neu explains the conference combines educational seminars, breakout sessions, keynote speakers, professional panels and NPAA partner displays with ample time to visit with industry leaders, plus network with peers and potential business allies. He added, “This event allows anglers who pursue all species of fish to network and learn about how to step up their game as an angling professional.”
This year’s featured speakers are 4-time Bassmaster Classic champion Kevin VanDam and legendary angler and media guru Al Lindner. The content-rich itinerary also includes a full slate of in-depth presentations on topics ranging from taxes and insurance to social media, sponsor relations and tournament trends. The conference also features a Future Anglers Foundation benefit banquet, built into the Saturday evening schedule, with a ticket to the fundraiser included in the conference fee or available for separate purchase for those choosing to attend only the banquet.

Neu said Chula Vista Resort was selected to host the 2018 event due to its scenic on-the-water setting, family-friendly amenities including the water park, and because it is centrally located for the NPAA’s nearly 1,100 members, the majority of whom are from the Upper Midwest. He noted that special discounted room rates of $105 per night are available by calling toll free (855) 421-1186 and referencing the group code NPAA18.
The NPAA conference is open to NPAA members and the general public. Conference registration options include NPAA Member Registration, $125; NPAA Student Angler – Future Pro Registration, $62.50; Non-Member Registration, $175; and FAF Banquet Guest, $30.
Student Anglers and Future Pro Members registering for the Conference by December 15th will receive a limited edition 2018 NPAA Conference T-shirt at no charge!
