In its third year of Getting Families Fishing, this national education initiative launched by the Future Angler Foundation and the Into the Outdoors Education Network recently added another 16 aquatic and angling education videos along with 16 dedicated topic webpages as part of their 2019 FWS grant.
This builds a total of 32 fishing videos and web pages with educational materials that are free, open source to the entire R3 angling community to help in their efforts to generate new anglers. These classroom videos and lessons, combined with the program’s six half-hour broadcast television shows are now projected to impact some 10 MILLION over the next few years.
The program’s syndicated broadcast television network in 32 markets and 7 national digital channels is expanding its reach even further this month when all of their family fishing half-hour television programs will be offered through the National Education Television Association to 350 public broadcasting stations in 46 states.
The Initiative is already planning a new series for 2020 with the continued focus of recruiting new anglers through family fishing in combination with boating safety, catching fish, angling ethics, and aquatic ecosystem education.
The R3 fishing community along with the entire boating and fishing industry is invited to preview and freely download any of the videos and educational materials at; http://intotheoutdoors.org/aquatic-angling-science-1/
